oh fuck...

i think the House of Saud is going to die a horrible and gruesome death for this...

=> Saudi Arabia sending troops to Bahrain to quell pro-democracy demonstrators

it's getting ugly... i want to see which side Obama stands on.. and also which side the world stands on now..

looks like Saudi Arabia is abandoning its hypocritical facade and is just going for it now... probably driven by fear

Obama? My guess is that he'll toe the line and just say some things about 'urging restraint' and 'wishing a peaceful resolution' and things like that.

The sad thing is that as hypocritical the Saudis are, the US is still the home of hypocrisy.

They wish to export democracy, but they wish to import oil even more.

yeah.. all stink... actually ALL politicians stink... and ALL politics stink...

the time people learn that and realise that the politicians are accountable to the people, is the time the politicians fear most

Bodega Y Tapas or Serenity Spanish Bar & Restaurant at Vivo City

ahhhh... the one which serves whole pig...

uhh.. guys... wanna go there?

we can order the whole pig provided we give them 2 days' notice

elindra SG

the "dory" I got from the supermarkets tastes very suspicious ... there's a strong chemical after taste .......

I'm not buying "dory" again ....

Are you talking about the Cream Dory from the Supermarket?

You cannot confuse it with the Oreo Dory or John Dory which are the true Dories from the deep seas

The Cream Dory in the supermarkets are actually the Iridescent Shark aka Pangasius hypophthalmus from Vietnam

It’s a freshwater catfish. We also call it the Pating fish here in Singapore & Malaysia

i haven't a clue.. i'll go look when i go past again..

but.. bacalao is $32... not too bad considering how much work they gotta do to make the stuff

Well since MPB is likely to be in Oz for another month

I think I'll be either busy at work or WoW

So maybe we try to fix up an outing :)

Kuali Baba SG

I looked at the Salta menu and it's used as a name for cod. It might not be the salted variety you're looking for.

Under 'Bacalao con Jamon' it says "pan fried fillet of white cod wrapped with prosciutto ham & basil, served with roquefort cream and potato puree"

the Bear SG

i'll just go put up a topic to see who wants to go

i hope we will have enough so that we can order the whole pig at Serenity in Vivocity

You know, I would gladly pay income tax.

Because my not having to pay it is what's that's stopping me from owning my own home.

As you guys know MPB and I are planning for a cub

I was looking at some infant care centres and rates start at S$1,500 a month!!! OMG!!! And if you pick up the kid late you are subject to "fines"

My 40 + pets don't even cost so much a month!

Kuali Baba SG

The days when one of you could stay at home are long gone, and over here very few workplaces let you take the kids to work or have childcare facilities. It's not attractive at all.

the Bear SG

... and this is how they want to increase the number of children Singaporeans bear?
